Scholarships

Australia offers many scholarships for international students. Scholarships are granted on merit and the applicants need to demonstrate their eligibility for the scholarship for which they are applying.

Australian Scholarships Program

The Australian Government has made a range of study and research awards available to candidates in the Asia Pacific region, including Bangladesh, under the Australian Scholarships Program. This includes the Australian Development Scholarships (ADS), Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) and Endeavour Awards Program.

The application round for 2009 intake is now closed. The next intake round for 2010 will begin in March 2009.

International Centres of Excellence Scholarships

The International Centres of Excellence is an Australian Government initiative to create, profile and endorse Australia’s excellence in five key areas, namely Asia Pacific Studies, Water Resource Management, Tourism and Hospitality, Sports Science and Mathematics.

The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality (THE-ICE) and International centre of Excellence in Water Resource Management (ICEWARM) have launched a range of scholarships for international students to study courses in Tourism and Hospitality and Water Resource Management respectively in its member institutions.
